The goal was to drive consumer awareness and subscriptions for the new DStv Streama, a streaming device available at R99 per month for 24 months. OnAir wanted to showcase the device’s unique selling point: access to all major premium streaming apps in a single device, allowing users to elevate their home entertainment experience effortlessly.
The TV commercial focused on the simplicity and versatility that the DStv Streama brings to South African households, offering premium content from multiple streaming services. We illustrated how, for an affordable monthly fee, families could enjoy a comprehensive streaming experience on one device, without the need to switch between multiple platforms or subscriptions.
We used a blend of storytelling and product demonstration to capture how viewers can seamlessly switch between their favorite streaming apps, from Netflix to Showmax and beyond. Dynamic visuals and smooth transitions highlighted the ease of use, while upbeat music and vibrant color grading kept the ad fresh and engaging. Emphasis was placed on the affordable R99 per month payment plan, stressing the value and convenience for users.
The campaign generated a strong response, driving significant traffic to the OnAir website and resulting in a high volume of inquiries and sign-ups for the device. The TVC effectively communicated the affordability and all-in-one functionality of the DStv Streama, helping OnAir position it as the go-to device for flexible, premium entertainment at an accessible price.
